

MEET JIM
A former State Representative from Redford Township and Dearborn Heights, Jim comes from a family deeply rooted in public service, with a remarkable legacy in Michigan’s political and judicial spheres. His brother and sister serve on the Circuit Court and Probate Court benches, respectively, while his father, James L. Ryan, was a member of the Michigan Supreme Court and was appointed by President Ronald Reagan to the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
In addition to his tenure in the Michigan House of Representatives, Jim served as the Deputy Director of Governor John Engler’s Executive Office, acting as the primary liaison between the Governor and officials in Southeast Michigan. Before these roles, Jim was a high school teacher and coach, as well as a Redford Township Trustee.
Currently, Jim is a business owner and father to two sons, Sean and Jimmy.
